These are considered energy-flowing mudras that connect pranic energy. There are many types of Yog Mudra. Let us talk about how to do Surya Mudra and its benefits. It is also called Agni Mudra.
What is Surya Mudra?
As it is traditionally said, Surya Mudra represents the element of fire. By doing this mudra, the firepower gets activated in the body, and by sitting in such postures, the fingers of the hand make a connection and facilitate the flow of energy in the body.
How to do Surya Mudra :
1- Sit in a comfortable position. Sit on a mat instead of the floor.
2- Place your hands on your knees or thighs. Turn the palms upward ie towards the ceiling.
3-Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.
Now fold your ring finger. Try pressing it with your thumb. Apply enough pressure that it can be tolerated. The more pressure you apply, the more the fire element will rise. Keep doing the same with the other hand. Do this mudra 20 to 30 times daily. You can do this once or thrice a day for 5 to 10 minutes. Do not do too much or else it will generate more heat in the body.

Keep these things in mind while doing the mudra:

-It is safe for everyone to do this, but overdoing it can increase the heat in the body. So always do it sparingly.
